Moist chocolate cake recipe in pan (without oven) with step by step pictures
Hi everyone. This is my first ever baking post. My first chocolate cake recipe that came out too good for the first time itself and i have made many times and it came out awesome without any fail. My daughter is crazy for chocolate cakes and whenever we get to shopping, she asks the chocolate cake for sure. I wanted to try this chocolate cake recipe at home and it is better to make in home rather than buying it in shops. Whenever i made this cake, my daughter gives me a tight hug and goes crazy and for that i make it atleast once in a month.
This moist chocolate cake is very fuddgy and chocolaty. I thought that baking is tough but after tried it i just enjoyed baking and it is a process with measured ingredients and the recipes dont fail. In this post i give you the measurements to bake 1 kg chocolate cake approximately. If you want to make 1/2 kg cake then use half quantity of the ingredients.
Since i am a newbie to baking, i start baking in pressure cooker or heavy bottomed pan. You can use oven also for this recipe.
My learning about baking :
1. Use measuring cups and spoons for better baking that is to get the perfect taste and texture of the cake.
2. Do not rest the cake batter. Mix the ingredients well and immediately start to bake, that is , pour the batter in baking pan and keep in oven or cooker or heavy bottmed pan. ( If you have rest the batter, then the texture of the cake becomes hard)
3. Always keep the flame in medium to low. Preheat the oven or cooker for 10 mins before placing the baking pan.

Ingredients :
For 1 kg cake approximately :
. Maida / all purpose flour - 1 1/4 cup
. Sugar - 2 cups
. Cocoa powder - 1/4 cup
. Baking soda - 1 1/2 tsp
. Baking powder - 1 1/2 tsp
. Salt - 1 tsp
. Egg - 2
. Milk - 1 cup
. Vegetable oil - 1/2 cup
. Vanilla extract - 2 tsp
. Hot(boiling) water - 1 cup
Method :
1. Preheat the heavy bottomed kadai for 10 mins in medium to low flame by adding 1/4 cup of salt and placing the stand.
2. Take a mixing bowl. Add dry ingredients. Mix well. Add the remaining ingredients. Mix well without any lumps.
3. Take the baking pan. Grease it with some butter and dust with little flour.
4. Pour the cake batter in pan. And place it in preheated kadai. Cover with lid and bake for 45 - 50 mins in medium to low flame.
5. After 45 mins, open the pan and check with a toothpick. If the toothpick is clean, then it is perfectly baked.
6. After gets cooled, transfer the cake to a plate. Moist, fuddgy, tasty chocolate cake is ready.
Pictorial :
Take a heavy bottomed kadai or pan
Add 1/4 cup of salt
Place a stand at center
Cover with lid and witch on the stove. Preheat the kadai for 10 mins in medium to low flame
In the meantime, lets prepare the cake batter. Take a mixing bowl
Add maida
Add sugar
Add cocoa powder
Add baking soda, baking powder and salt
Mix the dry ingredients well
Add eggs
Add milk
Add vegetable oil
Add vanilla extract
Add boiling water
Mix well without any lumps
Take a baking pan
Grease it with butter
Dust with a tblsp of flour
Pour the cake batter
Place the baking pan over the stand inside the kadai
Cover with lid
Bake for about 45 - 50 mins in medium to low flame. Check with a toothpick or knive. If the toothpick is clean, then it is perfectly baked. Switch off the stove.
After it gets cooled, invert the pan over a plate.
