Chapathi recipe with step by step pictures

            Chapathi is a indian flat bread that was made using whole wheat flour. Very healthy and perfect for breakfast,  dinner and even for lunch box too. There are many varieties of chapathi like phulka,  methi paratha,  palak paratha,  egg paratha,  aloo paratha. 

    
             I often make this chapathi with different sidedish recipes.  Chapathi can be made soft by adding lukewarm water to the flour,  adding oil to the dough,  perfect kneading,  flatten the dough thin and even . Try this recipe. 

Ingredients :

.  whole wheat flour  -  2cups
.  Lukewarm water - 1 cup (approximately)
.  Salt - 1 tsp
.  oil - 1 tbsp to mix with dough
.   Oil for cooking

Method :

   1.   Take the lukewarm water in a bowl.  Add salt to it.  Mix well. 

   2.   Add whole wheat flour.  Knead the flour.  Add oil to it.  Make the dough.  Let it rest for 15 min. 

   3.  Knead the dough . Make equal portions.  Roll the dough into small balls. 

   4.  Dust the dough with wheat flour and then flatten the dough.  It must be thin and even. 

   5.  Put the flattened dough in to tawa.  Add oil.  Wait for 10 secs.  Flip it. 

   6.  You can  see the brown dots in the chapathi.  Again flip it.  

   7.  Cook both the sides. Your chapathi is ready to serve. 

   8.  Serve with any sidedish.
