Boiled peanuts recipe with step by step pictures 


              Boiled peanuts is a healthy snack for kids as well as elders.  I often pack this for my kids snacks box.  This is my all time favorite snack especially in winter days.  My mom cooks for me and i love it.  I often make Peanut chutney with roasted Peanuts that i bought from the store.  But whenever i saw fresh peanuts with shells in the market,  i grab it and sure i cook it as boiled peanuts.  You can remove the shells firstly and cook it but i like to cook it with the shells and remove it as its warm and have it to fulfill my taste buds.

               It is a easy to cook recipe and you have to just boil the peanuts for a while and your tasty and healthy snack is ready.  This is a basic cooking and today i made it and wanted to share with you all.  Check out the recipe below with step by step pictures.

Ingredients   :

.   Fresh peanuts / groundnuts  
.   Salt to taste
.   Water to cook


Method  : 

           Wash the peanuts well until all the dirt is removed.  Take it in the pressure cooker along with salt.  ( add 2 tsp of salt for a cup of peanuts). 

          Add enough water as all the peanuts must immersed in it. Pressure cook for 3 - 4 whistles.  After pressure releases,  drain the water and serve the boiled peanuts as it is warm.     

Pictorial   : 


           1) Take the fresh peanuts with shells in a bowl.


           2) Pour water into it.


           3) Wash it throughly 2 - 3 times in the water until all the dirt gets removed.


           4) Take the peanuts in the pressure cooker along with salt.


          5) pour enough water until peanuts gets immersed into it.


          6) Pressure cook for about 3 - 4 whistles. After pressure releases,  strain the peanuts.


          7) Serve.


           8) Remove the shells.



               Enjoy the warm peanuts
