Egg omelette curry- Sidedish for chapathi

Egg omelette curry recipe with step by step pictures 


              Egg omelette curry is a sidedish for Indian flat breads like dosa,  chapathi,  roti,  naan,  parota, etc., It is a simple curry made with egg omelette. Make this recipe in your home and it will fulfill your taste buds. Give it a try.

Ingredients  :

For omelette:

. Eggs - 3
.  onion - 1 small onion (finely chopped)
. Curry leaves - 2sprig(finely chopped)
.  coriander leaves - 2 tblsp chopped 
.  Salt to taste 
.  Pepper powder  - 1 tsp 

For curry:

.  onion - 1 big onion(finely chopped)
.  tomato -  1(pureed)
.  ginger garlic paste - 1tblsp 
.  Turmeric powder -1/2 tsp 
.  Chilli powder  - 1 tsp 
.  Garam masala - 1 tblsp 
.  Coconut milk  - 1/2 cup
.  Salt to taste
.  fennel seeds - 1 tsp 
.  Oil - 2 tblsp 

Method  :

        1.  Crack open the eggs.  Add chopped onion,  curry leaves,  coriander leaves,  salt and pepper.  Beat well.  Make omelettes.  Cut into pieces. 
       2.  Heat oil in a kadai.  Add fennel seeds.  After it crackle,  add chopped onion.  Saute until it becomes soft. 
       3.  Add ginger garlic paste.  Saute until raw smell goes out.  Add tomato puree.  Saute for 1 min. 
       4.  Add turmeric powder, chilli powder and garam masala. mix well.  Cook in low flame until oil separates.  
       5.  Add 1 cup of water to it.  Add salt.  Cook for 5 min.  Add coconut milk.  Cook for 5 min. 
       6.  Add the omelette pieces. Cover with lid and cook until oil separates. Serve.
