Gobi manchurian recipe with step by step pictures
Gobi manchurian is an indo-chinese recipe. It is a vegetarian stater, sidedish or snack recipe. Whenever We get to any vegetarian restaurant, i definitely order this cauliflower manchurian. I like the tangy taste and colour. It is a very good sidedish for pulao recipes and biriyani recipes. Capsicum gives nice flavor to the recipe. It is very crunchy. Try this recipe and let me know.

Ingredients :
For dumpling:
. cauliflower florets - 1 cup
. Maida - 3/4 cup
. Corn flour - 1/4 cup
. chilli powder - 1 tsp
. Pepper powder - 1 tsp
. Salt to taste
. Oil - for deep frying
For sauce:
. oil - 2 tblsp
. Ginger - 2 tsp ( finely chopped )
. garlic - 2 tsp ( finely chopped )
. green chilli - 1 (finely chopped )
. capsicum - 1/2 cup ( chopped into squares)
. Soy sauce - 1 tblsp
. Red Chilli sauce - 1 tblsp
. Tomato ketchup - 2 tblsp
. Spring onion - 1 tblsp ( chopped)
. corn flour - 2 tsp ( to make slurry )
Method :
1. Blanch the cauliflower florets in hot water with some salt for about 15 min. Strain it and keep it aside.
2. In a mixing bowl, take maida, corn flour, chilli powder, pepper powder and salt. Mx it by adding water to make a batter.
3. Dip the florets into batter and gently put into oil. Deep fry the dumplings. Keep it aside.
4. Heat oil in a pan, add chopped ginger, garlic, green chilli, spring onion. Saute for few secs in high flame.
5. Add soy sauce, chilli sauce and tomato sauce. Mix it well. Add corn flour slurry. Cook for few secs.
6. Add fried capsicum and dumplings. Toss well until it gets dried and sauce coated into the dumplings. Add spring onion. Serve.

1) Chop the cauliflower into florets.

6) Dip the florets into batter.
7) Gently drop the florets into oil one by one.
8) Deep fry the florets.
9) Keep the dumplings aside.
10) Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped ginger, garlic, green chilli . Saute until raw smell goes out .
11) Add spring onion. Saute for few secs .
12) Add soy sauce ,chilli sauce and tomato ketchup.
13) Mix it well. Mix 1 tblsp of corn flour in 2 tblsp of water and pour the slurry into sauce.
14) Cook for few secs .
15) Add fried capsicum and dumplings.
16) Toss well until it gets dried and sauce coated into the dumplings.
17) Sprinkle spring onion. Serve.
