Bhatura recipe with step by step pictures
Bhatura is a north-indian breakfast recipe which is commonly known as channa bhatura. It is commonly served with channa masala and so it has that name. In south-india, it is called as chola poori. It looks like poori but it is made with maida(all purpose flour). It is not soft like wheat poori but little crispy due to the addition of rava. Try out this bhatura at your home. Hope you like it. Ingredients :
. Maida / all purpose flour - 2 cup
. Curd - 1/2 cup
. Rava - 1/4 cup
. Oil - 2 tblsp
. Sugar - 1 tblsp
. Salt to taste
. Oil for frying
Method :
1. Take all the ingredients in a mixing bowl. Knead well. Cover with wet cloth. Rest for atleast 2 hours.
2. Heat oil for frying. In the meantime. Divide the dough into dough balls. Flatten each dough ball using rolling pin.
3. Drop the flattened dough into hot oil. Press it gently with laddle. Cook until it puffs. Flip and cook until golden brown. Bhatura is ready.

Knead well to make a dough
Apply a tsp of oil over it
Cover with wet cloth
Rest for atleast 2 hours
Knead it once again
Divide it into dough balls
Take a dough ball
Flatten it using rolling pin
Heat oil for frying
Drop the flattened dough into hot oil. Press gently with laddle. Cook until it puffs
Flip and cook until golden brown. Strain it
