Sweet ulundu vadai (inippu vadai) recipe with step by step pictures
Sweet ulundu vadai is a healthy snack for kids. It is made with jaggery and it tastes too good. Kids will love it. I looks like athirasam and also like doughnuts. I usually make Ulundu vadai for snacks and for kids sweet ulundu vadai is a better option. Do try at your home and sure you like it.

Ingredients :
. Urad dal - 1/2 cup
. Jaggery powder - 3 tblsp (as per your taste)
. Salt - 1 pinch
. Cardomom - 2
. Oil for frying vadai
Method :
1. Soak urad dal for about 4 hours. Drain the water and transfer it to mixer jar.
2. Grind it to smooth paste without adding water. Add jaggery powder, salt and cardomom seeds. Grind it until jaggery mixes well. Transfer to a bowl.
3. Heat oil in a kadai. Keep the flame to medium low.
4. Dip the finger in water or oil to grease. Take the batter and make a hole with thumb finger.
5. Drop it into oil. Cook in low flame for 1 min. Flip it gently and cook for another min until brown.
6. Strain the vadai. Tasty sweet ulundu vadai is ready.

Wash and Soak urad dal in water for about 4 hours

Grind it until jaggery mixes well. It becomes little thin due to jaggery. Keep the batter in refrigerator until you are going to cook
Grease your fingers by dipping in water and Take a small amount of batter
Make a hole with your thumb
Heat the oil. Keep the flame to low
Drop the batter into oil
Cook for 1 min and flip it gently. Again cook for a min. Both the sides becomes brown. (oil must be warm not hot, otherwise the vada gets burnt and becomes black colour)
Strain the vadai
Tasty and healthy sweet ulundu vadai is ready to be served
