Palak dosa recipe with step by step pictures 


               Palak keerai is one of the greens which is rich in iron content.    Having palak keerai once in a week,  helps to get iron strength in our body.  Kids usually dont like to take spinach (keerai)  as a poriyal.  My daughters also hate eating greens and so i hide the spinach in their everyday food.  Today i have made my daughters favourite dosa with palak keerai.  This dosa do not change the taste of the regular dosa and it is very healthy.  Try this recipe and make your food more healthier.

Ingredients   : 


.   Palak keerai  -  2 handful (tightly packed) 
.   Dosa batter   -  4 cup
.   Green chilli  -  1 ( for kids)  add more for elders
.   Ginger  -  1 inch piece
.   Garlic  -  4 cloves 
.   Oil to drizzle over dosas

Method  : 


          1. Grind palak keerai, ginger, garlic and green chilli in a mixer jar by adding little water.  

         2. Take dosa batter and add palak puree to it.  Mix well.  

        3. Heat dosa tawa.  Pour a laddle of batter.  Flatten it.  Drizzle oil.  Cook for 30 secs.  Flip it and cook for another 30 secs.  Palak keerai dosai is ready.

             Take palak keerai, ginger, garlic and green chilli in a mixer jar. 


Grind it to a puree by adding little water


Take dosa batter in a mixing bowl


Add palak puree


Mix well ( dosa batter is having salt itself,  if no,  then add salt as required)  


Heat dosa tawa


Pour a laddle of batter and flatten it.  Drizzle a tsp of oil around it.  Cook for 30 secs. 


Flip it and cook for another 30 secs


Tasty and healthy palak keerai dosai is ready.  Serve with your favorite chutneys.  I have served it with Coconut fried gram chutney
