South-indian lunch menu ideas

Today's lunch menu is a non-vegetarian meal which i have done a few days back.  This simple lunch menu  can be done in most of the South-indian homes as a weekend lunch.  This lunch is loaded with fish.  Fish is one of the healthiest food.  It has many nutritious benefits.  Kids love fish as it is very tasty and fulfills their tastebuds.

Today i have cooked promfret fish which is perfect for kids as it has less bones.  My daughter likes fish kulambu very much and whenever i cook fish kulambu,  she enjoys it soo much.  Fish kulambu tastes too good the second day.  My husband likes fish fry.  Today i made both kulambu and fry.

According to me,  fish kulambu can be made with the head and tail part of the fish which is too good and the remaining body part is used to make fish fry.  This was my mother's idea of cooking the whole fish. This lunch menu contains steamed rice,  fish kulambu, fish fry and rasam.  I usually include curd in most of the lunch menu but i heard that curd is not good with fish.  It might leads to skin infection ( i dont know whether it is right or wrong, )  and i dont include curd in this lunch menu.   I have already posted the recipes and you can check it out through the links below :

Hope you like the recipes and give it a try and it will be a simple and special lunch for you.
