Idli dosa batter bonda recipe with step by step pictures
Idli dosa batter bonda is a evening time snack recipe. It is made with the leftover idli batter. This recipe is made with easily available ingredients in our kitchen. Ingredients :
. Idli dosa batter - 2 cup
. Rava - 2 tblsp
. Rice flour - 1/4 cup
. Onion - 1 medium sized (finely chopped)
. Curry leaves - 2 sprig
. Ginger - 2 inch piece ( finely chopped)
. Green chillies - 2 (finely chopped)
. Salt to taste (if needed)
. Oil for frying
Method :
1. Take idli dosa batter. Add all the other ingredients except oil. Mix well.
2. Heat oil for frying. Drop the prepared batter as small dumplings. Keep the flame to low. Cook until all the sides become golden brown.
3. Strain the bonda. Serve the tasty idli dosa batter bonda.

Take Idli dosa batter in a mixing bowl
Add rava and rice flour ( the consistency of the batter is neither thick nor thin, add more rice flour to adjust the consistency)
Add finely chopped onion, curry leaves, ginger, green chilli and salt ( the batter has salt itself, add salt only if needed)
Mix it well
In the meantime, heat oil for frying
Drop the batter into small dumplings
Similarly drop the dumplings one by one
Cook in low flame until all the sides become golden brown ( cooking in low flame makes the inner part gets cooked evenly) strain the bonda
Tasty idli dosa batter bonda is ready to be served. Serve as such or you can serve it with some chutneys by side
