 Crispy fried idli recipe with step by step pictures



                  Idli is a famous south-indian breakfast. This crispy fried idli is a nice snack and can be made within few mins. Usually leftover idlis can be made as Idli upma and today I tried this crispy fried idli recipe which I got from rak's kitchen.  Now this is one of my favorite snack and my kids loved it. Try this recipe and sure you will like it. The idli podi adds extra punch to this fried idli. I have used homemade idli podi. You can add your favorite podis.

Ingredients  : 


.  Idli -  2
.  Oil for frying
.  Idli podi  -  2 tsp

Method  :


              1.  Keep the leftover idlis in refrigerator. Take it out before cooking. Cut it into pieces. 

             2.  Heat oil in kadai. Drop the idli pieces into it. Fry until golden brown. Strain the idlis. 

             3. Add idli podi. Toss it well. Yummy crispy fried idli is ready.

              Cut the idlis into pieces  ( keep the idlis in refrigerator for at least an hour. So that idlis becomes little hard and easy to cut into pieces) 


                           Heat oil for frying


               Drop the idli pieces into it  ( do not put ladle immediately after dropping idlis as idlis get stick to it. Leave it for few secs and flip it using ladle) 


                  Fry it until golden brown


                        Strain the fried idlis


                           Take it in a bowl


                        Add 2 tsp of idli podi


                                Toss it well


                Yummy crispy fried idli is ready to be served  😋😋
