Uttappam recipe with step by step pictures
Uttappam is one of the famous recipes of tamilnadu. I found this uttappam in most of the tamilnadu wedding breakfast or dinner menu. It is made with the dosa batter and some fresh onion, carrot and coriander leaves. We dont want fry anything, the raw onion, carrots and coriander leaves gives great taste to the recipe. Coconut fried gram chutney is the ultimate combination for uttappam. Uttappam is thick, soft and delicious recipe. Do try it and it will be your one of the everyday breakfast recipe.

Ingredients :
. Dosa batter - 2 cup (for 4 uttappam)
. Onion - 1/2 medium onion (finely chopped)
. Carrot - 1 medium (grated)
. Coriander leaves - 4 tblsp (finely chopped)
. Oil to drizzle over uttappam.
Method :
Heat dosa tawa. Pour a laddle of batter. Flatten little bit. ( The uttapam must be little thick and the size is ideal. )
Topp the uttappam with onion, carrot and coriander leaves. Drizzle a tsp of oil around the uttappam.
Cook for 30 secs in medium flame. Flip it, again cook for 30 secs or until it is cooked. Serve hot with any chutney.
Pictorial :
1) Heat dosa tawa. Pour a laddle of dosa batter.
2) Flatten little bit. (It must be thick and size is ideal)
3) Topp it with finely chopped raw onion.
4) Topp with grated carrot.
5) Topp with finely chopped coriander leaves.
6) Drizzle a tsp of oil around it. Cook for 30 secs. Flip it.
8) Again cook for 30 secs or until it is cooked (do not burnt the veggies. The flame must be in medium)
