Wheat adai dosa recipe with step by step pictures 


               Wheat adai dosa is a healthy and tasty breakfast and dinner recipe.  My mom often make this adai dosa as it is instant and we dont want to grind anything.  It can be served as such but it tastes delicious when served with Coconut fried gram chutney. My mom use dry red chillies in this recipe but i have added chilli powder as i make it for my kids too.

Ingredients  :

.  Wheat flour  -  2 cup 
.  Onion  -  1 small sized (finely chopped) 
.  Curry leaves   -  1 sprig (finely chopped) 
.  Coriander leaves  -  2 tblsp (finely chopped) 
.  Oil  -  2 tsp 
.  Urad dal  -  1 tsp 
.  Chana dal  -  1 tsp 
.  Chilli powder  -  1 tsp 
.  Salt to taste 
.  Oil to drizzle over dosa. 

Method  :

         1. Take wheat flour.  Add required salt and water.  Mix well without any lumps to get wheat dosa batter. ( batter must be little thick)   

         2. Heat oil.  Add mustard seeds,  urad dal and chana dal.  Let it splutter and turns to golden brown,  add chopped onion,  curry leaves and coriander leaves. 

        3. Saute until translucent.  Add chilli powder.  Saute for few secs.  Add this tempering into wheat flour batter.  Mix well. 

        4. Heat tawa.  Pour a laddle of batter.  Flatten it.  Drizzle a tsp of oil.  Cook for a min in medium flame. 

        5. Flip it.  Cook for a min.  Cook until both sides are cooked.  Serve hot.

           1) Take wheat flour in a bowl. 


            2) Add required salt.

           4) Heat oil in a kadai. 


           5) Add mustard seeds.  


          6) After it sizzle,  add urad dal and channa dal. 


         7) Let it turns to golden brown,  add finely chopped onion,  curry leaves and coriander leaves. 


         8) Saute until translucent.  Add chilli powder. 


        9) Saute for few secs. Switch off the flame. 


        10) Add this tempering to wheat dosa batter. 


        11) Mix it well. 


        12) Heat dosa tawa.  Pour a laddle of batter.  


       13) Flatten it. 


       14) Drizzle a tsp of oil around the dosa. Cook for a min in medium flame. 


       15) Flip it.  Again Cook for a min.  


       16) Cook both the sides.


       17)  Wheat adai dosa is ready.  Serve hot.
