South-indian lunch menu ideas


               In tamilnadu,  lunch menu must include boiled rice,  any kulambu or sambar,  rasam,  poriyal (sidedish)  and some papads.  Today,  i have cooked healthy,  tasty and veggie loaded lunch menu. This luch menu includes boiled rice, flat beans kulambu (Avarakkai kulambu),  rasam,  ridge gourd fry (peerkangai poriyal) and papads.  

            Always took veggies more than rice.  I think this menu contains more vegetables.  This is very simple and easy to cook recipes. 

             I always started by soaking the rice.  Then cut the veggies for both kulambu and poriyal.  I started to cook both dishes by parallel as i have two burner stove at home.  Poriyal always cook soon.  And i make rasam.  Finally i cook the rice and it is perfect that it soaked well for cooking and also it is hot while serving as it is cooked atlast. I always  have some papads in my kitchen and i prepare it just before serving.  I have already posted the recipes.  Check out through the links given below.
