Tomato garlic chutney is a tangy flavourful tasty sidedish for idli, dosas as well as chapathi. I like to add garlic more in my cooking as garlic has more healthy facts. I like to make Tomato chutney, which is similar to this chutney without garlic. But my MIL insists me to add garlic in it and when i tried it i just loved the flavour of garlic so much. Give it a try and sure you like it very much. It is very easy to cook recipe. You can make it within 10 - 15 mins.

Ingredients :
For 2 servings:
. Tomato - 3 medium sized (roughly chopped)
. Garlic cloves - 15 nos.
. Sesame Oil - 2 tblsp
. Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
. Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
. Bengal gram dal - 1/2 tsp
. Curry leaves - 1 sprig
. Asafoetida - 1/2 tsp
. Chilli powder - 1 tsp (as per your taste)
. Salt to taste
Method :
1. Take tomatoes and garlic in mixer jar. Grind it to smooth paste.
2. Heat oil in a kadai. Add mustard seeds, urad dal and channa dal. After it crackle and turns to golden brown, add curry leaves and hing.
3. After it sizzle, add ground paste. Add salt and saute until colour changes. Add chilli powder. Mix well and cook for 8 - 10 mins in low flame.
4. Turn off the stove after oil separates. Tomato garlic chutney is ready.
