                 Cinthamani chicken is a sidedish recipe. It has another name called pallipalayam chicken which is famous in erode surrounding. It is quick and easy to cook recipe which is spicy and tastes too good.  This recipe needs only minimal Ingredients that is easily available in our pantry. The main ingredient is dry red chillies. The aroma of gingelly oil and red chillies make you fall for it. The fried shallots (small onion) enhances the taste of the dish. Do try at your home and sure you love it.

Ingredients  :

.  Sesame oil/gingelly oil  -  3 tblsp
.  Small onion /shallots  -  1 cup (sliced) 
.  Dry red chillies  -  1 cup (remove the seeds) 
.  Chicken  -  1 1/2 cup (chopped into small cubes) 
.  Ginger garlic paste  -  1 tblsp
.  Turmeric powder  -  1 tsp
.  Salt to taste 


Method  :  

           1.  Clean the chicken pieces with plenty of water. Keep it aside.  Slice the small onion and remove the seeds of dry red chillies. 

          2.  Heat oil in a kadai. Add sliced onion. Saute until soft. Add ginger garlic paste. Saute until raw smell goes out. 

         3.  Add dry red chillies. Saute for a min. Add chicken pieces. Saute for 2 mins. Add turmeric powder and salt. Saute for a min. 

       4.  Cover with lid. Keep the flame to low. Chicken leaves water. Cook for 5 - 8 mins until chicken gets cooked and water becomes dry. Stir in between. 

      5. Turn off the flame. Cinthamani chicken is ready to be served.

           Clean the chicken pieces with plenty of water


Slice the small onion and remove the seeds of dry red chillies


           Heat gingelly oil in a kadai (using gingelly oil balances the spice of red chillies) 


                 Add sliced small onion


              Saute until onion becomes soft


                Add ginger garlic paste


             Saute until raw smell goes out


        Add dry red chillies (removing the seeds is a must, otherwise it will be more spicier) 


                       Saute for a min


          Add chicken pieces ( the pieces must be in small cubes because we do not add water in this recipes. If the pieces is big, it won't cook nicely) 


                        Saute for 2 mins


               Add turmeric powder and salt


               Saute for a min. Cover with lid.  Chicken leaves water. Cook in low flame for 5 - 8 mins until chicken gets cooked and water becomes dry. Stir in between. 


                    Turn off the flame



        Cinthamani chicken is ready to be served
