Potato curry leaves fry recipe with step by step pictures 


               Potato fry is a great sidedish for almost all south Indian vegetarian meal.  I always fry the potato with some spice powders.  Today i made this recipe without spice powders.  I love the flavor of curry leaves so much.  And decided to make a recipe with it.  This potato curry leaves fry recipe has the strong aroma of curry leaves.  I have grind the curry leaves and added to the potatoes that enhances the taste of it.  Hope you like it.

Ingredients  :

. Potatoes - 3 medium sized 
.  curry leaves - 1 handful (tightly packed)
.  green chillies - 2 
.  onion - 1 big onion (chopped lengthwise )
.  Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp 
.  oil - 2 tblsp 
.  Cumin seeds - 1 tsp 
.  Pepper powder - 2 tsp 
.  Salt to taste

Method  : 

         1.  Pressure cook potatoes for 2 whistles.  Remove the skin and chopped into cubes. Keep it aside .
         2.  Take curry leaves and green chillies in a mixer jar.  Grind coarsely without adding water. 
         3.  Heat oil in a kadai.  Add cumin seeds.  After it splutters,  add chopped onion.  Saute until golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste. Saute until raw smell goes out. 
        4.  Add grounded curry leaves.  Saute for few secs.  Add potatoes.  Mix it well. 
        5.  Add pepper powder and salt.  Toss well.  Cover with lid and cook in low flame for about 15 min.  Stir in between. 
       6.  Potato curry leaves fry is ready to serve. 


Pictorial  :

          12) Add pepper powder and salt. 


          13) Toss well. Cover and cook for about 15 min in low flame.  Stir in between. 


        
           16) Switch off the flame.  Serve.
