Egg masala omelette recipe with step by step pictures
Egg omelette is a south indian dish that every non-vegetarian people would like. The classic egg omelette is made with some freshly chopped onion and coriander leaves. Today i tried to make the omelette even tastier by adding some masala to it.
Adding dried kasuri methi to this recipe just enhances the taste and aroma. But it is optional. I like kasuri methi very much and i added to it. You can add some grated vegetables like carrot, capsicum, french beans, etc., Hope you like it and give it a try.

Ingredients :
. Eggs - 3
. Onion - 1 medium sized(finely chopped)
. Tomato - 1 small sized ( finely chopped)
. Kasuri methi - 2 tsp (crushed)
. Green chilli - 1 (finely chopped)
. Curry leaves - 1 sprig (finely chopped)
. Coriander leaves - 1 tblsp (finely chopped)
. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
. Chilli powder /kashmiri chilli powder - 1tsp
. Salt to taste
. Oil - 1 tblsp
. Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Method :
1. Heat oil. Add cumin seeds. After it crackle, add onion, green chilli and curry leaves. Saute until translucent.
2. Add tomato, turmic powder and salt. Saute until mushy. Add chilli powder. Saute for a min. Add kasuri methi. Mix well.
3. Let the masala gets cool. Crack open the eggs and add masala and coriander leaves. Beat well.
4. Heat oil in tawa. Pour this egg mixture. Cook for a min. Flip it. Again cook for a 30 secs. Egg masala omelette is ready to be served.

1) Heat oil in a kadai.
2) Add cumin seeds.
3) After it splutters, add chopped onion, green chilli and curry leaves.
4) Saute until it becomes translucent.
5) Add chopped tomato.
6) Add turmeric powder and salt.
7) Saute until mushy. Add chilli powder.
8) Saute for a min. Add crushed kasuri methi.
11) Mix well. Switch off the flame.
12) Let it cool.
13) Meanwhile crack open the eggs in a bowl.
14) Add the masala.
15) Add chopped coriander leaves.
16) Beat well.
17) Heat oil in a tawa.
18) Pour the egg mixture.
19) Cook for about 30 secs.
20) Flip it. Again cook for 30 secs.
21) Egg masala omelette is ready.
