Egg bites / muttai paniyaram

Egg bites recipe with step by step pictures 


             Egg bites is a sidedish recipe as well as served as a snack for kids.  It is very tasty and you can make it within 5 mins.  I have made it using paniyaram skillet (kuzhi paniyaram pan).  I have added onion,  carrots and coriander leaves.  You can substitute it with your favorite vegetables.  If you do not like raw veggies then you can saute for few mins and then add it to the eggs and make the bites. I skipped green chillies as i cook for kids,  you can add that too.

Ingredients  :

.  Eggs  -  4
.  Onion  -  1/2 onion (finely chopped) 
.  Carrot  -  1/2  (grated) 
.  Coriander leaves  -  2 tblsp (finely chopped) 
.  Pepper powder  -  1 tsp
.  Salt to taste
.  Oil to cook egg bites 

Method  : 


           1. Crack open the eggs into a bowl.  Add chopped onion,  grated carrot and chopped coriander leaves.  Add salt and pepper. 

           2. Mix well.  Heat oil in paniyaram pan.  Pour the egg mixture to it.  Cook for 30 secs in medium to low flame.  Turn it using a spoon.  

           3. Cook for 30 secs or until it is cooked.  Egg bites is ready.  (always keep the flame to medium as not to burnt the egg bites. 

Pictorial   :

         1) Crack open the eggs into a bowl. 


         2) Add chopped onion, grated carrot and chopped coriander leaves. 


        3) Add salt and pepper. 


       4) Beat well. 


        5) Heat oil in paniyaram pan. 


       6) Pour the egg mixture. Cook for 30 secs. (keep the flame to medium) 


        7) Turn it using a spoon.  Cook for another 30 secs.  


        8) Egg bites is ready to be served.
