Chicken 65 recipe with step by step pictures
Chicken 65 is a starter and also served as a sidedish for non-vegetarian meal. It is one of the popular chicken dish. Chicken 65 is one of our favorite dishes. Whenever we get to any restaurant, sure we order this chicken 65. Today i made it in my home with easily available ingredients in our pantry. Do try at once and this will be your favorite too.

Ingredients :
. Chicken - 1/2 kg (with bone)
. Curd - 3 tblsp
. Chilli powder - 2 tsp (as per your taste)
. Ginger garlic paste - 1 1/2 tblsp
. Salt to taste
. Maida - 1/4 cup
. Rice flour - 1/4 cup
. Egg - 1
. Lemon - 1/2
. Food colour - 2 pinch (optional)
. Oil for frying
Method :
1. Wash the chicken with plenty of water. Add turmeric powder and rock salt to remove any germs. Drain the water. Keep it aside.
2. Take curd in a mixing bowl. Add all the ingredients other than oil. Mix well to get a thick batter.
3. Add chicken pieces. Marinate it with prepared batter. Keep it in refrigerator for atleast 1 - 2 hours.
4. Heat oil for frying. Keep the flame to medium. Drop the chicken pieces one by one. Cook for 2-3 mins. Gently flip it and again cook for 2-3 mins. Cook both the sides well.
5. Strain the chicken pieces. Yummy tasty chicken 65 is ready. Serve with onion and a piece of lemon.

Wash the chicken pieces with plenty of water. Add turmeric powder and rock salt while cleaning to remove any kind of dirt and germs. Keep it aside.
Take curd in a mixing bowl
Add maida, rice flour, chilli powder and ginger garlic paste
Add egg, lemon juice and salt
Mix well to get a thick batter
Add food colour ( chicken 65 has a bright red color and to attain the colour i have added a pinch of food colour. If you are using kashmiri chilli powder, skip the food colour)
Mix well
Add chicken pieces
Marinate the chicken pieces with the prepared batter. Keep it in refrigerator for atleast 1 - 2 hours. ( keeping in refrigerator and adding curd makes the chicken pieces soft and juicy)
Heat oil for frying. Keep the flame to medium
Drop the chicken pieces one by one ( do not add more pieces, make it in batches. Otherwise it wont cook evenly)
Cook for 2 - 3 mins. Gently flip it to other side. Again cook for 2-3 mins. Cook both the sides well (do not cook more than 6 - 7 mins, otherwise chicken might get overcooked and become rubbery)
Strain the chicken pieces
Tasty and yummy chicken 65 is ready to be served. Serve it with onion and a piece of lemon.
