Prawn gravy with Coconut recipe with step by step pictures

Ingredients :
. Prawn - 1 cup
. Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
. Oil - 2 tblsp
. Cinnamon - 3
. Cloves - 4
. Bay leaf - 2
. Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
. Onion - 2 big sized (finely chopped)
. Curry leaves - 1 sprig
. Tomato - 2 small sized
. Ginger - 2 inch pieces
. Garlic - 8 nos.
. Chilli powder - 1 tsp
. Coriander powder - 1 tblsp
. Kulambu powder - 2 tblsp
. Salt to taste
. Coconut paste - 1/4 cup
Method :
1. Clean the prawn and add turmeric powder. Mix well. Keep it aside.
2. Heat oil in a kadai. Add whole spices. After it sizzle, add onion and curry leaves. Saute until it becomes soft.
3. Grind tomato, ginger and garlic in a mixer jar. Add this puree into kadai. Saute until raw smell goes out.
4. Add spice powders and salt. Mix well and cook until oil separates. Add prawn. Mix well. Cover with lid. Cook until it leaves water. Stir in between.
5. Add Coconut paste. Mix well. Add water to adjust consistency. Cook until oil oozes out. Turn off the flame. Prawn gravy is ready.

Add chilli powder, Coriander powder, Kulambu powder
Mix well and cook until oil oozes out
Add salt
Add prawn
Mix well. Saute for few secs
Cover with lid and cook until it leaves water. Stir in between
Add Coconut paste
Add 1/2 cup of water.
Mix well and cook
Cook until oil oozes out. Turn off the flame
Tasty prawn gravy with Coconut is ready to be served
